We are thrilled to welcome all competitors, coaches, friends, family and supporters to the 2027 Australian Orienteering Championships Carnival, 9 days of orienteering fun and adventure. The Carnival includes the Australian Schools Orienteering Championships and the Shriking Awesome 3-Days, named for the carnival’s emblem, the famous Piping Shrike, South Australia’s bird emblem. The Shrike is known for its tenacity and inventiveness, as well as its ability to remember faces and places, which we think makes it a fitting representative for our sport.
